About

In 2019 we completed a gut-renovation of this historic property creating a more modern mixed-use building featuring commercial and retail space as part of our continued revitalization of the Midtown Village neighborhood.

A 19th-century retail haven, the Swartz Building was originally home to hat manufacturer John B. Stetson Co. and Swartz Furniture. The Swartz Building features four floors of open concept office space for creative tech companies, as well as two spaces ground floor retail spaces currently occupied by two prominent local banks with deep roots in the neighborhood, WSFS and PFCU. Located adjacent to The Collins, the Swartz Building is revitalizing the entire 1100 block of Chestnut Street in Midtown Village, Philadelphia as a place to live, work, and play.

The Swartz Building renovation was completed in mid-2019.
