The 500-room Courtyard Hotel Center City is the largest Courtyard by Marriott in North America.
Brickstone originally acquired the property from the City of Philadelphia and developed this hotel to support the Convention Center being built in Market East. Emerging from the Savings & Loans Crises of the early 90s, the highest and best was deemed to be the hotel to support the Convention Center being in built in Market East. Brickstone is pleased to have acted as the turnkey developer for Marriott International in the acquisition, historic rehabilitation, and conversion of the former City Hall Annex into a new Courtyard Hotel by Marriott.
This certified historic tax credit rehabilitation won the 2001 Preservation Alliance of Philadelphia Honor Award.
